Radiology Services at VSON
Radiology uses x-rays and other imaging technologies to create images of bones, muscles, and tissue inside the body to detect invisible problems to the naked eye. Imaging tests are an essential tool for orthopaedic physicians, allowing them to accurately diagnose a patient's symptoms and design a customized treatment plan for their injury.
At Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery, we provide the following radiology services in-house:
-
X-ray: A noninvasive diagnostic tool that uses very low radiation to visualize boney anatomy.
-
Edwards: Canon Omnera 500A fully automated DR system
-
Vail: Quantum manual system with Retro fitted Konica DR system
-
Frisco: Canon Omnera 500A fully automated DR system

-
MRI: A noninvasive diagnostic tool that uses a strong magnetic field and radiofrequency (RF) waves to produce images of the inside of your body. The scans are very safe, and there is no ionizing radiation exposure.
-
