About Dr. Bevan
Dr. Patrick Jon ‘P.J.' Bevan is a fellowship-trained, board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon. A Vail Valley native, Dr. Bevan has gone full circle with Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery - from patient to provider. Growing up as a local hockey player, Dr. Bevan sought treatment from several physicians at VSON for sports-related injuries in high school and again after playing collegiately and professionally overseas. The experience and quality of care he received at our practice inspired him to return to VSON as an orthopaedic technician and clinical assistant. The team at VSON recognized his potential and encouraged Dr. Bevan to continue his education. During undergrad, he attended Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of Colorado, graduating in 2008 before working for VSON for three ski seasons. Then in 2012, Dr. Bevan was accepted into the Western University of Health Sciences medical program where he graduated with his doctorate in osteopathic medicine in 2016.
After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Bevan completed his residency at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, South Pointe Hospital, and then completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Southern California, where he also served as the Associate Team Physician for the LA Chargers. With his athletic history, connection to the mountains, experience treating professional athletes, and being a patient himself the team at VSON hand-selected Dr. Bevan to join their orthopaedic team at Middle Park Health.
Having fond memories of the Colorado High Country growing up, Dr. Bevan, his wife Maggie, and their two young sons are delighted to call Grand County home. As a physician with VSON, Dr. Bevan will work with our partners at Middle Park Health to provide high-quality, compassionate care to residents and visitors alike. He is currently hosting clinics at Middle Park Health's Granby, Kremmling, Walden, and Winter Park locations and performing surgeries at Middle Park Health's Granby Campus.
